For hundreds of years, the African-American community in the United States has been the subject of discriminatory actions and racism. The systematic racism and discrimination led to a call for change. Throughout American history, citizens fought for equal rights and treatment for Blacks, with prime examples being the Civil Rights movement. For this reason, this blog works as an educational interface for those who are unaware of the issue. The news articles and media posts featured on this blog will focus on the real issues of racial discrimination against black people and the act of resistance known as the Black Lives Matter movement. This blog was created as a support system for the Black Lives Matter movement. Instead of promoting violence and action that can cause harm, this site uses education as its reinforcer.
